The remnants of an inflatable pig the size of a school bus drifted into the yards of two La Quinta properties on Tuesday, April 29. The pig earned La Quinta residents Susan and Steve Stoltz and Judy and Patrick Rimmer a cool $10,000 for their discovery.

College of the Desert club F.A.M.E Connection is putting on the college's first talent show at the Pollock Theatre on Friday, May 30 at 6 p.m. Admission is $3 and tickets will be sold at the door.
F.A.M.E. Connection, short for Film, Art, Music, and Entertainment, is run by two college students, Lauren Kosvic, 20, and Rigo Vasquez, 18.
