Signed Players!

It is that time of the year where the sophomores of the COD football team sign their intent to transfer to the next step in their ultimate goal. There have been a total of three players who have signed their letter of intent to a Division 1 school. Earl Brooks, 6'0, 180# cornerback, signed his letter of intent with Iowa St.

Harry's Column

This has been a great semester for The Chaparral and myself. It is the final issue of the year, but don't be worried. Most of us will be back including myself. Now to the NBA Playoffs, my predictions for the first round were ultimately right. The one team who disappointed was the Portland Trailblazers, which fell to the Houston Rockets.

COD Tennis Teams State Champions!
COD's undefeated tennis teams go all the way to win the state championship. Both men's and women's teams of COD have achieved this great opportunity to compete for the state title. On this challenging journey the coaches of these teams have trained and guided their players with great care and motivation.

New sport in summer: Pickle ball

Have you ever wanted to play a game, which was like tennis and badminton, but was easier to learn and play? The game you have dreamed about is called Pickle ball, and is now finally here at College of the Desert. Tom Bannon, who is a former tennis instructor for about thirty years, is instructing it for the first time here at our college.
