M99.5 Radio Station Format Changed.
M99.5, the desert's only FM rock alternative station, took on a whole new look beginning April 1. The station, now called 99.5, "The Heat", features a rock n' roll style format similar to 106.9 and 95.9.
According to the station's official website, the change was made because there was not a large enough audience to support the station in its old format.
