Following the events at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA on April 16, 2007 in which 32 students and faculty were shot and killed and fifteen others wounded, COD has made an initiative to make the campus safer.

New ballet folklorico president sees bright future for club
With the closing of the spring semester new Ballet Folklorico president Adriana Hernandez, 19, looks to get a head start for the fall.
"I realize that the semester is almost over," said Hernandez, "but we want to start practicing because when the semester beings we will be celebrating Mexican Independence Day and we wish to be ready.
