West Coast Turf, the company that provided the field for multiple Super Bowls, rebuilt the field. The field includes a new sprinkler system. COD trustee John Marman recognized the donors and dedicated the field.COD football team now 5-3Editor's Note: The COD game against Cerritos on Nov. 1 was not included due to deadline. The football team fell 41-13 at El Camino on Oct. 18, and then lost 50-34 on Oct. 25 against Mt. San Antonio, one of the best junior college teams in the nation. Spenser Dayton and Leonard Mason both scored for the Roadrunners in the first quarter against El Camino.California's Proposition 8 will define the word "Marriage"Proposition 8 changes the California Constitution to eliminate the right of same-sex couples to marry in California and provides that only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California. The government says that over the next few years there will be a potential for revenue loss mainly from sales taxes of the planned weddings between same sex couples totaling in millions of dollars, but over the long run there will be likely little fiscal impact on state and local governments. |
