Blood Wedding at Pollock theaterThe students from College of the Desert's (COD) performing arts, and its Ballet Folklorico club delivered a very fun performance of Blood Wedding in the Pollock Theatre. The world-famous tragedy, written by respected dramatist, Federico Garcia Lorca, had been well modified to emphasize the tragedy's main themes for the enjoyment of its audience.

Unlike last winter, College of the Desert (COD) is offering two intesession options lasting six and eight weeks. The courses start June 15 and are availabe at three locations: the Palm Desert campus, the Indio campus, and the new campus site in Mecca-Thermal.College of the Desert salutes its real life heroesCarl Blea, 38, joined the Navy in 1988. He has served on the USS Carola Sea (CV-43), the USS George Wash-ington (CV-73) and the USS Emory S. Land. He finished his un-dergraduate studies at Berkeley College of Music in Boston where he majored in guitar performance.Faculty Spotlight on Diamond BravermanDiamond Braverman is in his third year on staff with COD as the Theatre and Art Technician. His wide range of life and work experiences make him a fascinating person to know as well as an indispensible asset to our school. He has been Production Designer for at least 20 independent films, built sets and props for over 200 commercials and worked with stars such as Cindy Crawford and Rodney Dangerfield. |
